Draper Center Coordinator
The Draper Center Coordinator is responsible for facilitating long-term Health Bridges projects, as well as communicating with hospital volunteer coordinators and the Draper Center staff. They also act as leaders to hold accountable the rest of the leadership team to ensure tasks are run effectively and efficiently, and the overall goal of Draper Center Coordinators is to facilitate and promote long-term continuity and growth of Health Bridges organization and mission.

The Draper Center Coordinator is responsible for facilitating long-term Health Bridges projects, as well as communicating with hospital volunteer coordinators and the Draper Center staff. They also act as leaders to hold accountable the rest of the leadership team to ensure tasks are run effectively and efficiently, and the overall goal of Draper Center Coordinators is to facilitate and promote long-term continuity and growth of Health Bridges organization and mission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitating:
- Weekly 1-2 hour Draper Center Coordinators meetings
- Weekly 1 hour staff meeting at the Draper Center
- Weekly 1 hour Health Bridges Leadership Team meetings
- Biweekly 1 hour meetings with the Assistant Director of Community Engagement at the Draper Center
- Monthly meetings with Hospital Volunteer Coordinators
- Monthly 2 hour Community Building Days for the Health Bridges team
- Individual meetings with Health Advocates as needed
- Weekly 1-2 hour Draper Center Coordinators meetings
- Recruitment and Training:
- Plan schedule to recruit new Health Advocates at the beginning of every Fall and Spring semester and Leadership Team members at the end of Spring semester
- Communications:
- Manage Google Drive account
- Reserve spaces/venues for events
- Connect with Health Bridges alum for resources to expand our HB mission beyond Pomona Valley
- Record monthly budget and program reports
- Manage Google Drive account
- Long term projects:
- Support HBLT members to carry out long-term goals/projects
- Bi-weekly check-ins (over text/Messenger) with HA and CE coordinators
- Use Draper Center resources
- Bi-weekly check-ins (over text/Messenger) with HA and CE coordinators
- Apply for grants annually or as needed
- Support HBLT members to carry out long-term goals/projects
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at one of the Claremont Colleges
- Commitment to 5-10 hours per week for a minimum of 2 semesters
- Understanding of and dedication to Health Bridges’ mission
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Interest in long-term commitment to Health Bridges
- Strong organization skills, timeliness, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Prior HBLT experience
- Flexible schedule to accommodate weekend and/or evening communications
- Strong interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and optimism
