Outreach

Our Educational Outreach pod provides mental health and well-being resources to the younger communities in LA county. Many of our partners identify as first-generation, low-income, and are entering or current high school students. Currently we are in collaboration with programs such as Pomona College Academy for Youth Success (PAYS) and Uncommon Good. Educational outreach has organized and hosted a number of events in coordination with our partners including:

- The PAYS Mental Health Summit in which we facilitated productive dialogue about youth mental health and provided mentorship for pursing higher education.
- Hosted a variety of workshops with both PAYS and Uncommon Good on topics including: mental health in high school, goal setting, test-taking strategies, substance abuse awareness, and core values/personal development.
- The College 101 workshop in collaboration with Uncommon Good in which PAYS seniors and Health Advocates led discussions on healthy lifestyles and independence in college.

The Health Bridges Pods are core components of the program that have their own goals which allows us to support the local community in a variety of ways.
