The Educational Outreach Coordinator leads outreach efforts and designs workshops to improve the wellbeing of high school students enrolled in the Pomona College Academy for Youth Success (PAYS).

The Educational Outreach Coordinator leads outreach efforts and designs workshops to improve the wellbeing of high school students enrolled in the Pomona College Academy for Youth Success (PAYS).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to a weekly 1 hour meeting with the HBLT
- Managing the PAYS pod and facilitating communication between Health Bridges and PAYS
- Schedule weekly pod meetings, coordinate attendance, notes, tasks, group chats and/or manage rotating facilitators
- Provide updates to the rest of the HBLT and Health Bridges
- Schedule a 10-15 minute 1:1 check-in with each volunteer per semester
- Schedule regular meetings with the PAYS student coordinators, the PAYS coordinator, and the Assistant Director of Educational Outreach at Draper
- Compile educational resources for PAYS students and Health Advocates in the process of workshop design
- Event-Planning
- Find resources and organizations for workshops
- Organize de-stress and mental health events for PAYS
- Manage funding for the PAYS x Health Bridges workshop series
- Assist with quarterly budget reports
- Attend and support grant requirements, including 1:1 meetings with Tri-City and quarterly cohort meetings
- Implement any surveys required for grants
- Identify future grant/funding organizations to further ensure longevity of the program.
- Provide additional support to the HBLT and other coordinators
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at one of the Claremont Colleges*
- Commitment to 2-6 hours per week for a minimum of 2 semesters
- Understanding of and dedication to Health Bridges’ mission
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills, timeliness, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Previous experience with the PAYS pod
- Flexible schedule to accommodate weekend and/or evening communications
- Interest in long-term commitment to Health Bridges
- Strong interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and optimism
